We sincerely invite talented musicians who have a deep connection to the Yaeyama region.

Kaori Nakada was born in Okinawa and now resides in Ishigaki. She passionately preserves Yaeyama’s traditional “Flower-Island-Wind- Moon(Kachofugetsu)” as a dedicated vocalist. Kaori has also participated in Ryuka – BEGIN SONGS, sharing her heartfelt artistry.

Sadaharu Ooishi, born and based in Ishigaki, is a passionate and dedicated inheritor of Yaeyama traditional and authentic music. His talent and devotion earned him the top prize at the Tubarama Festival, celebrating his profound contribution to preserving his cultural heritage.

JUST YOU & THE MOON — a Japanese-Peruvian artist channels the gentle sounds of Yaeyama alongside urban memories. This soulful expression beautifully bridges the island’s natural beauty with the voices of diverse cultures, celebrating the healing power of shared music.

Ambient DJ
Originally from Kyoto and now residing in Ishigaki, Ambient DJ creates soundscapes that evoke the gentle beauty of stars, moonlight, and ocean waves, inviting listeners to feel a deep sense of peace and wonder.

Production Support
Grand Slam, established in 2010 in Ishigaki City, is more than just a live music venue. It’s a heartfelt space committed to sharing the rich Yaeyama culture and creating a welcoming environment where artists from Japan and around the world can connect with the community through music.
